Not been about much.......

.....for a couple of days so I'd like to ask:

Why is the "Fireblade for sale £900" thread locked?

I see nothing in there the warrants this (other than the bike now having being sold, of course).

No, I'm not stirring. Genuinely curious as I see no line in the sand being crossed.

i dont know?a few peeps had a bit of a moan cos they thought he he only joined to sell his bike & his spelling was bad, but not as bad as mine

He wouldn't be the first to do that.

There must be something more than that, surely? Seriously, there's nothing in that thread that merits its being locked.

What kind of a welcome is that?

Been here before methinks.......... I expect this thread will be locked now, given that I'm showing a bit of dissent

Yeah, maybe - but the reaction is a bit extreme.

Just hope we don't lose yet another potential member, and person for local rideouts, because someone's acted prematurely. We lost two perfectly nice, decent people earlier this year (I know coz I've since met them) when we didn't need to.

It just seems very unfriendly to me, and against the ethos of the site.

Perhaps its a sign that those of us without SVs should bugger off?

Moan moan, whinge whinge, nag nag.

Have an issue? PM a mod or admin about it.

It only appears to be 'dissent' (oh, sorry, forgot the condescending rolly eyes emote  ) when you post it as a main thread as if to gather backup from the masses.

'Hey everybody, I think this is wrong... Don't YOU?'

For crap's sake, we're mods in our spare time doing the best we can and make decisions on whatever reasons we see. BUT, we are still human.

I re-itterate, this isn't bloody school and you're, for the most part, adults. If you have an issue just PM us to find out what's going on.

PM? Maybe there was a reason in there that could be useful to the rest of the clan or other "potential" clan members and there was no usual explanation at the bottom of the thread.

dirtydog 04-11-06 08:42 AM

As far a I can see it was locked before it all started getting a bit silly and escalating into a bigger issue.

As Ping said if anyone had a problem with this the question would have been more sensibly asked by PM rather than starting a new thread and creating another issue
