finance question
i got my bike on finance and still have 2 years left to pay on it can anyone tell me what happens if its stolen.. cheers
|
Depends on what level of insurance cover you have.
TPO will leave you with a bill for the finance and no bike if it's stolen. Anything else will cover the value of the bike at the time of the theft. Which is why you should never buy a bike or car on finance if you can't afford comprehensive cover. ....or at least that's what I've been told. |
Bear in mind that even with theft insurance the value of the bike when nicked may not be enough to pay off the outstanding finance. It all adds up to -----Don't get it nicked.

its already gone. fully comp insured

How old is the bike? Some policies will replace with the cost of a brand new bike if it's up to six months old,and some up to a year old.Otherwise they just give you market value and they decide what that is.Probably less than you owe on the finance.

"probably less than you owe on the finance"
That'll be what GAP insurance is for  |
