First Aid

Just done a Emergency Recognition and Treatment coarse today as part of my Instructor/Marshall Qualification for the mini moto club I'm in (Northern pocket bike club). I would highly recomend you do one it could save your mates like in the event of an accident on a ride out!! It's only the basics but it could buy them some time untill the emergency services arrive. Also if you have kids it will give you pease of mind knowing you can do something to save them!!(heaven forbid)

Everyone involved in 'dangerous' sports should have appropriate levels of First Aid training and get it refreshed every 2-3 years. Makes sense and stops you feeling useless in an emergency.

I did a first aid course at school, it was something my form tutor wanted us all to do, and im glad I did it - its important to have these skills. Giving mouth to mouth properly to your mate while you wait for an ambulance to arive could mean the differance between life and death, or at least normal life or a life with brain damage.

I think i'll go on a course again though to refresh my skills
