help or advice URGENTLY NEEDED PLEASE

I hope someone can advise me !

some **** in his van just knocked me of my bike by not looking as he pulled out of a side road. my baby is pretty smashed up but im ok.

im insured third party. and it was definately his fault. even a policeman was a few cars behind and saw .

however i have a viper can on my bike. which is not on my insurance as it bumped it up by 400 a year !

do i need to get it of as my insurance company will be looking at my bike. ???

if so does anyone know where i can get a re fit pipe for the standard can as i still have it.??

thanks

What you are thinking of doing is obviously fraudulent ;) but that aside, is the old can damaged? I am thinking swapping it for a unmarked stock one might highlight that it wasn't on the bike at the time (if the rest of the RHS has damage) ... unless you can get a damaged stock one!?!?

1st off, sorry to hear about the accident it's all too common but I hope with the witnesses you've got your path will be smoother than some.

Ok, If the bike is in your possession there is no major hurry as the insurers will take a while to assess it anyway. If it's not, then you can't do anything about it.

You should be able to get a clamp to re-fit the old pipe either from any of the major exhaust manufactures (try phoning viper, scopion, carbon can company etc). That failing, an exhaust repair kit from Halfords or similar would probably sort you out.

as above try to get the viper off(just in case) fit a standard can & if your viper is damaged try to damage the new one the same  shhhhhhhhhh

ok...

i have the bike , until i tell my insurers to pick it up .

IMO, the exhaust had no impact on the cause of the accident, so argue your case if it comes up.

They will probably say they wont replace it as it wasnt declared.

does anyone have a number for scorpion??

or any other manufacturer??

i phoned carbon can .. they said they will check to see if they have a spare but unlikely as they only make em to go with the exhaust ..

Doesnt Renegade make a fitting kit for the original exhaust?

Also, perhaps someone here has one to lend/give you.

So, let me understand this, the exhaust fell off in the accident and you did not find it since..

would that work???#
