TRE Mod - now FI light issues
 

I did the TRE mod as instructed on this site. Now I get the FI light flashing with the temp gauge, the red FI light stays on, and the black FI light stays on along the left side of the gauge. Also, I pulled the tank to do the mod, could there be a bad connection to the fuel pump now? Thanks. This is on an '03 naked.

When I did this mod I was sold a 15 Ohm resister instead of 15000. Sales guy went for first draw with 15 on it & I didn't know better. This will cause that problem. Also if you don't insulate your connections too well they can touch other parts of the bike and cause the same problem though this would normally be intermittent. Good luck.. Bombus

i hooked the dealer mode tool up and found the error code 31 which is the "Gear Position Signal (GP switch)" so i have assumed (with help from the forum) that this is indeed a TRE prob. i didnt build my TRE so am not sure about how to fix it. i plan to uninstall it on the weekend and see what happens.
