Broken nose...
Need a quick bit of advice before i go to the hospital :(
Had my nose neatly rearranged at rugby on saturday, i can now sniff round corners its that bent :D Mrs cuffy wants me to get it reset, The Dr told me to go to A & E and they'll sort it there and then. Want i want to know is....do they give you a local anaesthetic before they play around with my hooter or have i got to brave :? Cheers in advance 8) |
Ahhh rugby injuries... one thing I dont miss...
they may do the 'whats that over there-' trick as they point one way, and slap your nose the other... but thats what you get for all the bad jokes  My brother recently got stamped on his eye at the side of a ruck... not a pretty sight after he had it stiched... red eye, very swollen etc.. and to think it was an accident as well :? that put me off my return to the oval shaped ball game for a while... |
Had this a couple of times, normally someone handy resets at the park for you.
In your case its been a few days so it will have started to heal, not entirely sure but id imagine after 6 hours waiting they'll just try to manipulate it back straight and only if your screaming the place down will you get local, maybe not even then. Remember getting my face stiched back up at the side of the park by my mate (he's an ear nose throat surgeon) before the pain of the impact wore off and the swelling could take place, very neat job. |
They were going to give you a local but I've just called an ex student who works there and they're breaking out the 'ship's surgeon kit' especially. 'Bite on the strap, Mr Cuffy'

I'll do it for you... Pair of moleys, that's all you need.

I'm no fighter, but even I can take someone who has a broken nose with a pair of mole grips flapping from it :)

Hilarious!

I guess if your sniffing round corners it won't be long before you get the nostril whistle. So if you don't get it fixed at A&E Mrs cuffy will do it for you sooner or later.
Just beware of the phrase "this may hurt a little" |
