speed cameras getting worse
There I was crawling up the m6 this afternoon. Average speed from Birmingham to Wigan must have been about 60mph.
Then once past Standish, the traffic eases and I start to put my foot down when I see parked up behind a bridge support a safety camera partnership talivan. Obviously the brakes were hit hard Now I am used to looking on bridges over the motorway. but WTF this git was parked on the hard shoulder, tight up behind a bridge support about 1/2 a mile south of Charnock Richard services. I expect my NIP in the near future |
If you get NIP'ed contest it.
Hard shoulder is for use only in emergencies. Catching people speeding is not an emergency. It's not like the 'Safety' camera partnership staff are regular plod, so they should at least abide by the law. How would it look if that van got mown down by a 40 tonner with failing brakes trying to stop safely using the hard shoulder? |

This is outrageous.
You should write to the local Chief Constable as this is illegal. Bet you still get a NIP though  |
Not good, they are being more and more 'creative' in the position of these vehicles. Theres a bridge on the north side of Cirencester over the A417 that is used, the wagon parks behind bushes just at the start of the bidge and uses a gap between two to scan the traffic. This is far from highly visable. Unfortunately proving that they were in the wrong and that you were not going slightly quick is very hard to prove.
Good luck! |
Gits!
Well, if you can't avoid the NIP, take them down with you. |
Should have stopped and taken a picture of them in an illegal position and sent it to the old bill then asked what they were doing about it.
