Close Shave on the A27 This Morning
 

Hi All.

I usually go to work down the country lanes of Hampshire. For the last couple of weeks I have switched to using the A3M and the A27 due to all the leaves, gravel mud and slime on the lanes this time of year (ohh and not forgetting the Deer as well).

This morning the gods must have been protecting me. As I joined the A27 from the A3M I began to make my way across to the outside lane. As I did so a large van changed lanes violently without indicating across my path. I manged to slow before running into him and cut back to the centre lane to make myself room. I then shot past the van as he braked hard to miss running into the car infront that had lost control.

What I hadn't seen was the usual line of Lemmings bumper to bumper in the outside lane. The last of these infront of the van obviously wasn't paying attention and almost rammed the car infront even though no one was slowing, he slammed his brakes on and ended up travelling diagonally along the outside lane, how he didn't end up going across the central reservation I don't know.

I feel lucky today.
