Isle of Man Speeding Penalty

ive moved jobs and i have no daytime internet access, and ive been so busy evenings ive not been on for ages,

My isle of man speeding case finally went to court last week, i ended up with £350 fine +£11 costs and 3 iom points on my imaginary iom licence.

pretty good result considering the bending over i was expecting, so 6 months of stress and worry are now behind me, well apart from having tohand over a substantial wedge of course,

considering the factthati was tagged at 131mph i think i got off extremely likely, and i know it would have been far more severe had i been done in england

again appologies for not putting this up sooner as i had some very supportive encourgement from a lot of members.

Nip tuck wasalso in court 30 mins after me, i know he got a substantial whack as well, but ill leave him to comment o that if he wishes,

so next im going on a honda melody, its impossible to keep a 1200 kawasaki at anything like sensible officer.......................

:(

part of me thinks you lucky lucky man

At one time an IOM ban was a joke, but now they are too damm serious being applied across the whole UK.

congrats on your expensive slap on the wrist :)

Your 3 IOM points are now 3 points in the UK too. Probably a good result all in all though. Where did you get pulled? Whilst I was there, a guy was pulled for doing about 70 in a 30 through Sulby & was charged with dangerous driving.

Only the bans are recipricol. The points stay in the country you are in.

courdelions right (for a change !!) the points are only valid on the iom, however if you get enough points on the iom to get a ban then your ban becomes valid in the uk,

i got stopped coming down to hillberry after the creg, i was exceptionally humble and polite to the police officer, the road was one way for mad sunday and i didnt pass anyone, i think these are the reasons i didnt get reported for dangerous riding, which is a far more serious charge........

expensive slap on the wwrist though.
