Psychopath test

Psychopath Test

Read this question, come up with an answer and then email me your answer back. This is not a trick question. It is as it
reads. No one I know has got it right.

A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met a guy whom she
did not know. She thought this guy was amazing. She believed him to be
her dream guy so much, that she fell in love with him right there, but
never asked for his number and could not find him. A few days later
she killed her sister.

Question: What is her motive for killing her sister?

To see if the same guy turns up at her funeral  Am I a psychopath?

interesting, interesting indeed.. have you seen this question before?

Answer was indeed that she was hoping the guy would appear at the funeral again.

If you answered this correctly, you think like a psychopath. This was a test by a famous American Psychologist used to test if one has the same mentality as a killer.

Many arrested serial killers took part in the test and answered the question correctly.

If you didn't answer the question correctly, good for you.

sry

Yes I have, so I didn't answer :)

The question above is part of the test introduced by Robert Hare, IIRC, in the early 70's (but his research started in the late 50's.

According to Hare, there are 300,000 psychopath's in Canada alone. That's 10% of the 2001 Canadian population. However, not all of those are crimial psychopaths apparently, so not all are in prison.

It gets kinda scary when you look at it from the view point that around 10% of all inmates tested, scored positive on the Hare Psychopath test.

Sorry for that, but I'm bored at work, and thought I'd give the background behind the question :) Just didn't want to spoil it straight off.

Its perhaps indicative of a serial killer, but it may also be indicative of someone with good cognitive processes to just solve riddles.

If you answered it correctly, it dosnt mean your a psychopath

There are many personality traits and characteristics that can define a psycopath!

What psychologist devised the "test"? Do you have a name?

Matt

I did not give that answer, but asked my wife the question and her immediate reply was
.........To see if the guy would turn up at her Funeral!
Great, I had my suspicions, but now I know that I married a Psychopath!

This went round work a couple of years ago and I got it then ... I agree with alpinestarhero on this, it is more an indication of ability to solve problems/puzzles more than anything else ;)

But I think that what is a more likely reason for her kill her sister is if she had bigger boobs than her .... ;)
