New Up And Comming Artist.

A mate at work Dann Beardsley has taken the positive step of going it alone in the music world. After stuggling for a while with a previous band he's done some accoustic open mike nights and a few gigs which have ended up with him recording three of his own tracks.
I've just listened to them to say the least I'm impressed.

Take a few minutes of your time to register on his website and have a listen to the media section, tip if the songs won't play use the windows help it works and is worth the effort.

Does he need a guitarist to help him out?

I might know someone

Sounda bit like Scott Stapp.

Not my type of music unfortunately so I can't offer much in the way of an opinion. But I did think that he has a good voice and the tunes were quite good, if not a little generic. Not a fan of the lyrics either, but as i said, I'm not really into melodic acoustic stuff.

Still good though. Tell him to grow his hair and scream a little bit. :p

Dann's sorted out a Mp3 player on his site now so its really easy now to have a listen to his songs, go on have a go.

Whatever song im listening too, its got a nice riff. Not really into acoustic stuff, although I have my moments unplugged. The lyrics are quite nice. My girlfreind aproves! She;s deaf, so this sort of music is easy for her to listen too as it dosnt have much going on.

Does anyone need a guitarist?!

Same here!

Mind you, it'll be hard lugging a guitar amp and a guitar on the SV...

Imagine if it was a full-on drum kit

Matt

[EDIT] still got the music on of this geezer, its really cool

One of the perks of doing electronic music is that I can take the main bit of my studio away with me (my laptop) on the SV with some good headphones. I then tidy it up on better sounding speakers at my home studio when I get back. 8)
