Well that's just grand, just what I need!

DSL router bit the dust a couple of days back, got another all fitted and configured, fine I thought, I could get back to using my laptop from downstairs, and not have to get my a*se all the way upstairs to get online.

so what happens, I knock over a full cup of coffee on my laptop, none of the keys work now, bo**ocks.

If that wasn't enough, Jambo came around and we were just chatting, gave him a pick from my new sweets, and took a stick of liquorish, crunch, broke a tooth, raw nerve sticking out, the full nine yards, I've got enough pain at the moment, but hey I can always handle just that bit more :?

Tooth will have to wait until after Monday, and funnily enough It should be killer, but I'm handling it without to much problem, just another thing to deal with, Ho Hum.

Cheers Mark.

If you let the laptop dry out thoroughly before trying to switch it on then you could well be okay.

It's said bad luck comes in three's, you'll be okay from now on

fizzwheel 13-12-06 08:38 AM

It might be OK, let it dry out and then take the keyboard off and if you can get somebody to get you some isopropanol alcohol or some electrical contact cleaner oughta do the trick and clean the keyboard and the area that it sits on with a cotton bud on it, it might. I stress might, be OK.

Coffee is pretty nasty stuff, but you might be lucky. Could have been worse, it could have been Coca Cola or some other Fizzy drink, then it would be right royally b*ggered.

Can't help with the tooth though, sounds horrible

Unless of course you count the fall, DSL dying, coffee+laptop and the tooth... in which case, you're either in credit and will get something good to make up for it soon...

... or you've just started the cycle all over again and have two more to go. :(

Erm... I'll go spout doom and gloom somewhere else shall I. Though personally, I'd take knee pain over teeth anytime - I hate dentists with a vengance.

My cousin grew up wanting to become a dentist - that's just plain wrong. He used to freak me out as a kid - now I know why. :?
