Isle Of Man speeding penalty II
 

Just catching up and see Nemo's returned with his tale of woe.....

I was in court after him and got £300 + costs + points for been silly at Creg Na Baa (though not as silly as Nemo)

We all know it's just a tax from the Manx government otherwise they'd pull over those two austrians(+ the mad germans on BMW's & monkey bikes!!!) speeding with me or is it true they can't fine them.....Uhm

I'm not bitter much......over here I'd have got a lengthy ban plus a BIG fine

Can't wait for 07 it'll be mad and my Sv1000 is in pieces to be built bigger and better

What's the deal were you not in the unrestricted bits at the time?

IIRC the run down to Creg Ne Baa is a 50mph limit... - but you try doing that! :lol:

it actually goes from unrestricted to 6o, whilst going down the steepest hill on the island,
although helpfully they put a copper at the bottom to remind you ,

you only do it once............................

A mate of mine has been over from the Isle for a couple of days and he said they have brought in a new law, if you get caught speeding over their you get the points on your liscence over here :( !!!
I thought it went on an imaginary Isle o Man liscence until you racked up enough for a complete ban and then it transfered to blighty ??? He lives there so I spose he knows ? ! ? ! Anybody else heard owt ???
