Scotland 2007
 

I have put together a tour of Scotland for 1st week July 2007 which some of you may want to join in with. It is designed with easy relaxed touring primarily,with the exception of the North/South routes but they are main fast routes which will have plenty of breaks/stops involved,with legs of approx 50/60 miles.-----------------Have a look at the Rideouts Section and let me know if anybody would be interested in taking part in all or part off

As most people know the original proposed date coincides with the AR2007 rideout and Sunday 1st July is BSB at KNOCKHILL
Sat30/6 ride up to the AR but stay in the YH at Stainforth which is a cab ride away from the social events of the evening
Sun 1/7 early am ride up to Stirling YH and then over to Knockhill for the BSB in the afternoon
Mon 2/7 Stirling to Fort William
Tues 3/7 Fort William to John o' Groats
Wed 4/7Jo'G to Inverness[Nice easy relaxed day]
Thurs 5/7 Inverness to St Andrews
Frid 6/7 St Andrews to Osmotherly
Sat 7/7 Osmotherly to home
Leaving Sunday to clean your bike, get an earfull from the domestic help and prepare for work on Monday

If this revised plan is OK by everybody going I will go ahead and book the STAINFORTH YH for the30/6 once I have the exact numbers so please contact me if you are in approval

Mac,
A bit late seeing this, so just letting you know that I have booked Fri and Sat at the Stainforth, so cab fares can be shared :)

Looks like we have the same plans for the Sun and Mon at least, what YH's are you intending to use on Sun and Mon?
Tue I was planning to take it a bit more leisurely and only go from Fort William to Ullapool, but I'll play it by ear.
