has started running really slow :( ive formated and its still slow, it wont disk check it just locks up, is my HDD fubar? oh and its taking about 8mins to boot up :?

Get yourself a MAC :compcrash: :compcrash:

Turn it off.

turn it back on.

Then give it a very stern talking to, including the threat of reprogramming with a rather large axe.

Hit it with a variety of hammer like implements, including, but not exclusive to, actualy hammers.






Well - once you've done that you've exhausted al computer knowledge so best ask IT geek/nerd/helpful people on here. :wink:

Maybe a virus...???? Do you have any software that can check your pc for virus..?? I can't really help I defected to Apple Mac 2yrs ago and never looked back...

I would suggest that if you have formatted and its still running slower than it should then the hard drive is the most likely culprit although its not always so straight forward. It could be the motherboard but from your description I don't think so.
