idle gits taking holiday

I have to build the daughter a new PC to replace the laptop she destroyed last month.

Bloody Scan is closed until next year. don't these people realise the domestic aggravation they are causing. Get back to work

Novatech are open.

Scan! I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole after the really bad service i had with them. They sent me the wrong motherboard and wouldn't take it back, without a lot of shouting.

I'm sure ebuyer (slow delivery but cheap) or dabs (slightly more money but next day service) will be open.

Scan are good if nothing goes wrong. However, their customer service is awful.

Watford Electronics all the way as far as I'm concerned. Some of the cheapest around and good delivery rates.

They are dealing with Mr Wilky here though, so maybe they are on thier best behaviour.

Tim, just get her one of those laptops out of Woolies. £400 and not a bad spec.

The reason I use Scan is that they are only 5 minutes drive away and if you can stand the queues you get your stuff 1/2 an hour after you order it. So no problems with wrong stuff etc. no delivery charge, damaged in transit etc. Dabs which are only about 2 miles away from Scan fecked up by closing their sales desk and going delivery only. Upto that point I had always used Dabs especially in the very early days when they were based in Leyland

TBH the only problem I ever had with Scan was a copy of Norton Ghost where the licence key was damaged where some adhesive tape had been torn off and they changed it immediately. Well about 6 minutes and discovered the problem whilst looking at what I had bought still in the shop.

Gigabyte are completely closed... My motherboard decided to stop POSTing 5 minutes after they closed until january. Thanks guys... Took me an hour to find that out too.
