Pop Quiz...Now with added lyrics..
Ok Pop pickers. I've got a piece of music that I reckon is early seventies the subject of which is 'Barbara, she's a butter queen'.
I don't know what it's called (could be butter queen) and I don't know who did it. I feel fairly certain that it is a song about a notorious American groupie of the time who had a 'thing' about butter and it's application to the human body for certain 'pursuits'  Any ideas anyone? I like to be obscure   Might be able to supply more lyrics if necessary. The style is a typical early seventies rock/prog style, not quite Lovin' Spoonful, but not far removed. |
"Well, I've been talkin' 'bout you
I heard the things that you do Are alright. You've been hanging around With all the guys in this town Well alright. But if your name is Barbara How come they call you Butter Queen?" |
More lyrics please!!!!

 Are you familiar with this song Billy?
"Well you've been greasing my **** And you sure know how to rock & Roll Well alright Tell me what you sing When you're doing your thing Well alright And if your name is Barabra etc etc. * Word removed to respect U rating but obviously rhymes with last word of next line  *Prepares to be severly punished by those that moderate* 8) |
Not quite sure I was only a nipper in the early 70s but it seems to ring a bell!!

It's a good track - starts with a long drum intro followed by some neat guitar work - the date is only a guess given the subject matter/style. Think I was about elevenish. |
You do realize this is going to do my head in and I won't be able to seep to night now

Now I know I can belch and swear with the best of 'em...... ....and my boy-toy freely admits I have the larger biceps...... Nevertheless, I am, and have always been, a member of the fairer sex...... |
