"Polishing" my endcan

I have several scratches that I would like to polish out of my stainless steel endcan, including a weird scratch on the top of it that coincidentally looks like "race use only" :twisted:

How should I go about it? I dont want to bodge the job and make a mess, so thought I better ask here 1st :D
