Removing Curvy Fairing
I'm currently trying to change my RHS front indicator on my beloved yellow curvy and can't get the RHS fairing panel off. I've undone all visible bolts, removed the mirror, removed the dials surround and it still seems to be attached to the bike around the headlight.
Any ideas on where this elusive bolt is located? I need to get the bike done today as I@ve got a 120mile ride tomorrow. Any help massively appreciated. |
:? when i changed my indys i left the fairing on?

How did you get the indicators out? I've removed the 2 screws on the inside of the fairing but there's no give in the indicator.

that cos u r a wimp......get down the gym
just pull & wiggle although i will not be held responseable if you brake somthing :? |
In the fake air vent by the headlight theres a little Phillips head screw that you'll need to undo.
And then if you knee down and look up at the underneath of the fairing theres a little push out fastenener where the RHS fairing panel joins the centre fairing piece. You'll need to pop that out as well and then if you've undone all the bolts you say you have it should pop off. It might need a wiggle to get it to pop free. Hope that helps |

Got the indicator sorted in the end with no breakages. Cheers for the help.
I had got all the bolts out but the retainer near the radiator was holding that part on which meant all the little clips near the headlight were holding together. |
what indys did you get?
|
There's also a plastic bit that goes into a rubber washer thing attached to the radiator frame (or somewhere around there) that holds the faring on too. Just got to pull straight to get that one out. Then it kinda hinges off around above the headlights as there's two tabs there.

That was the one that was causing me the hassle.
Hovi5 = I was fitting a standard indicator after cracking mine when I dropped the bike. |
