Bike vid recommendations
Ive seen Long Way Round and ive now just finished Road to Dakar. Both are great entertainment because although theyre essentially about the bikes, it focuses on so much around the actual achievement itself. The production is excellent.
Ive also seen Nick Sanders' Journey Beyond Reason which is another good video, but because he's alone he doesnt develop any relationship with anyone and theres not as much banter in it. Are there any other videos of a similar nature which are worth a watch?? |
The worlds fastest Indian Brill film stars Anthony Hopkins and it's a true story too!!

I would definetly recommend the two "Mondo Enduro" DVD's. (can't at the moment remember the name of 1st series/film... but they come together now) It was originally put on Discovery channel and shown countless times. I can still sit through them in their entirity.
If u liked LWR this puts their acheivements into perspective. Don't get me wrong i loved their series, got the DVD and book for pressies but this other mob is hardcore round the world stuff ,unsponsered, rough camping, nae money. A joy. (You'll want a DR350   ) On Any Sunday is blissed out 1970's documentary filmmaking about most forms of american bike racing. Very very cool but unpretentious. Some real biking talent on show. Worth it just to see how feckin fast and skilled Steve McQueen was. A legend. (You'll want a DR350   ) :) |
The other DVD to accompany Mondo Enduro is called Terra Circa and is brilliant.

'Faster' is very good if you're into circuit racing.
