Us highly experienced and skilled (!) rocket pilots should never forget the skill, multi-limb co-ordination and awareness to make it all work on a bike.

Always grates me when people describe 600's etc as ideal first bikes (in the US you can just walk in and get one like a bottle of milk, or a gun for that matter!), what are they thinking?

I have no idea how the guy on Eurosport held that wheelie and didn't drop the bike near the start. Skills indeed.

That was Max Biaggi on a Yamaha 500cc GP bike as he crossed the line taking the win. I watched the race and really thought it was over.
