Who

Came up with the blinding idea of making a ground anchor for a bike by using a bucket as a mould for a big lump of concrete with a suitable shaped lump of metal in it?

Because I've done just that, and its bloody brilliant! SV safe and secure now, the lump weighs almost as much as the bike!

Lead  i cut out lead pipe at work day in day out, you do realise you can cut through lead with a butter knife! ok not quite but i once used the saw blade on a leatherman to cut some out. Still i suppose it`s the whole deterrent thing

OK - so Mark I version uses lead

Mark II - maybe try a large hardened steel ring spanner. Was going to try this myself and just concrete it into the floor.

Nip into your nearest scrap dealers, theres one here for Hovi5. They will probably let you wander around to find something suitable, I managed to find a some 1 inch chain links.

Ford Capri steering colum, bent in a press (loadsa pressure) and welded to a big lump of metal, which was inturn welded to another big lump of metal that has a 90 degree bend to make a flat bit that makes it stand up in the bucket.

Gonna need something noisy to cut through that...

Lead is quite soft, very poor interatomic bonding (shall i go on?)

Although bloody heavy. Might be worth integrating lead into future designs...
