Speed cameras turned round again on A1 - Highgate/Archway

Just noticed on my way into work this morning that the central speed camera on the A1 (Falloden Way) north of Highgate has been turned round again to catch the traffic heading in to town.

I guess if the pattern is the same as before, all centrally placed cameras on the A1 from the A406 all the way down to Highbury Corner will have been turned round too.

Oooh, thanks for the warning Jo. Its not a route i use often so its nice to know of the changes for next time i fly thru there.

By the way, that was me who beeped and waved at you last Sunday along that bit of the A1 somewhere past Falollodon way. You (if it was you) were in a dark, possibly black, car all logo'd up with the Girls bike 2 stuff.

Anyway, Hi again :smt039 and thanks for the warning.

Haha...thanks....that's cleared one of them up then (the black renault with the logos is mine)! I get so many beeps and waves in that car, often from people who've been in my shop...they wave....and I have no clue who it is!

Am still trying to work out who waved at me last Sunday morning (about 10.45am) at the junction of the A1 and Bishops Avenue.

At least on my bike I can hide a bit more. Unfortunately it's still at Colin Collins in Harrow being repaired....and the company is in the hands of administrators at the moment. I *should* be able to get it back on Monday.....fingers crossed. :?

I've been advised to take my bike documents and photo ID to prove I own the bike, in case the administrators have taken over completely (altho I here the Harrow branch has been given 1 month to try to rescue the company).

Can I correct you there? It is not interesting, its bloody amusing! They damn near killed me a few years back through their shoddy and negligent workmanship. (Am I worried about that being libelous? Depends on their admission after the event really doesn't it??

CoolGirl 21-01-07 10:20 PM

ah yes, I remember them - gave me my bike back with a flat battery and a loose front wheel and then shut up shop behind me:shock:
but worst of all, they wouldn't talk to ME about MY bike, but constantly addressed the bloke who gave me a lift up there

Biker Biggles 21-01-07 10:32 PM

Let that be a lesson to you.Never accept lifts from strange men.

JediGoat 22-01-07 12:54 PM

Yay! Have my bike back...although it's more like having a brand new bike!

Have had new lower fairing, new other fairing (not sure if it was the upper one, or a side panel), new mirrors, new indicator, new exhaust, new bars and bar ends and a new battery

Of course it was nice and clean, with shiny brand new fairings......and 4 miles later it's filthy again - but that's the way my bike is meant to be

Jo -> multi-transportational once again
