Chinese Bike in a Box?

Hi I read some biker's blog today. He's bought a mOtorbike kit from China. Comes in a box of parts - £600. ANyone heard of that? I'd like to build that for my lad.

The bikes are rough and ready but for the money they're really good value.
Your looking at about £750 once you include delivery, registration etc.

There isn't actually that much assembly required, what you have to do is:

Put the front wheel in.
Connect up the rear shock.
Put the bars on.
Put the bits and bobs on the bars.
Put the clocks & ignition on.
Put the battery box on.
Put the acid in the battery, charge and install it.
Put the mudguards on.
Put the seat and plastics on.
Change the oil (shipped with very light anti corrosion oil).

Issues:
The battery leads weren't long enough on mine (As the battery box brackets are welded on a bit to far to the rear) so I had to extend them.

I am also going to put a more powerful battery on mine as the one shipped can only just turn the engine over on the starter.

Another lad on the forum has had the same bike (GY200) for a couple of years now and his is still going strong.

Heard of someone on BCF that their frame SNAPPED. And not through misuse.

I considered one a while back but after hearing that, hell, he could have ended up under a bus. And for what...buying new over a decent 2nd hand japanese bike. No thanks. :)
