Modem Router Question
I've got a D-Link DSL604 modem router and it's wireless as well.
Now I was wondering could I use it as a wireless access point? What I'm trying to do is get the xbox360 online without having to fork out £50......so a lot of people have been connecting the xbox by LAN to a wireless access point and then bridging the connection. Can it be done on the above mentioned modem router? Already have a modem router that is running at home this is just spare so kind of ignore the modem function of it (if we can) Cheers |
I reckon you can if you put it in bridge mode. don't know that particular router. Try looking on the ADSL Guide forums, plenty of knowledge there. http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/
although, why not just replace your present router/modem for the Dlink with wireless? then the X-box etc could connect wirelessly with no faff. |
