Interested in a SWS Track Day ?
anybody fancy doing a trackday when the weather picks up a bit.....(i know i do)
thinking out keeping it pretty local pembrey, llandow or castle combe anybody done these tracks? which do you recomend? Edit I've added a poll so we can guage what sort of interest there is and where peeps would prefer to go. Hope thats OK Fizz |
I've been to Llandow and Castle Combe as a passenger in a well driven Caterham 7. Both are good circuits although the latter is more local to me. I'd be interested but as you say when the weather/temp improves.
Roll on summer  |
i'd be interested in castle coombe.

I'm definately intrested in a track day this year, so count me in hovi5 (date depending obvoiusly  )
Only problem with Castle Combe is they're apparently strict on the noise levels, further research indicates; Quote:

Also I think at Castle Coombe they only do it on a Wednesday (or is it Thursday) so it'll be a day off work... I'm so up for it though |
CASTLE COMBE is now out IMO
no race cans  are they having a larf ...........bet you cant go over 70mph either & no overtaking castle combe :smt019 |

It's restricted to 90db I think, but I'm up for it, my can is a straight through, I've never had a baffle for it because there wasn't one. I'm buying a DB Killer for it, it's just an aftermarket baffle. If you are local, or even if you're not you could work it into a ride up here, you can go down and they will test it for you to see if it passes their noise regs Check it out http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/bike_trackdays.htm [Edit] "The noise limit for the day is 105 db(A), which is measured at ½ metre from the exhaust outlet at ¾ maximum revs. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure that their machine is within this limit. All machines are sound tested prior to going out on the circuit. In the event of a machine failing the sound check, then the rider will be entitled to a 75% refund. If you are unsure if your bike will get through the noise test (i.e. if it is fitted with an after market exhaust system), then you can always come over to get the bike noise tested prior to booking a place." [/Edit] Peace out.. |
im pretty sure mine would fail(hopefully).....................although i dont mind coming. i would like to get it tested first
will a MOT place test it? or where else? |
