managing music in Explorer
 

I can't see the band or singer of all my music in explorer (unless it's part of the song title).
Am I doing something wrong?

Unless I'm mistaken you only see the file name in explorer.

Right click in the column headings and you get a list of addition column headings you can view.

try managing your music with zortam mp3 studio . I found it great for setting the mp3 tags from downloads such as setting the track name from parts of the filename, artist, album title etc.

I then also use bulk rename utility to get rid of annoying stuff in titles such as artist, album name etc.


Note both the above are free.

You also need to have the "tags" set.

Media player can retrieve these from the internet for you, but you can also use third party apps to set them - Tag&Rename is a good one.
