Blasted thing broke down

First experience of an SV on one cylinder tonight!! They sound just like those go-karts we were in don't they!! Then it decided it wouldn't run at all for more than 20 seconds.

Took the AA an hour to send out a guy who knew nothing about bikes and ordered a recovery, then another hour for a guy to turn up with a bike trailer and get me home (must buy one of them one day!). Many thanks to Kilted Ginger for hunting his house for the Suzuki AA number (its now in my phone!).

So anybody know whats up with it then? Not a fuel issue 'cos the exhaust stinks of unburnt fuel if the engine is running (always wanted a bike that popped and flamed). So probably ignition. It wasn't wet today and it hasn't seen rain or a very wet road since the summer, but there was a fair bit of damp slurry about on the roads, can road crap cause the old fender extender issue as well? Its also got 7100 miles so the plugs are due replacement in 400. Any other suggestions?

It's in the garage feeling sorry for itself, I'll have a go at cleaning up that front plug tomorrow and see if it cures the problem. Do I need to unbolt the radiator to get to it? I'll have to borrow a trailer or van to get it to Cupar, which is a pain so if I can sort it easily (without doing anything major that might cause a warranty argument at Cupar), I'll have a go.

Cheers for any advise guys!

Um, the best and only technical advice I can give you is to cut and paste this onto Talk & Tuning or get a nice mod to move it...

Ralph if you need to go to cupar just call aa again, pretty sure home start is included if not take it 500yds (I think) from home and call them, cause its broken down again after you fixed it
If you let cupar know when its coming in you'll get a replacement while its getting sorted.

If you need anything else give me a shout.
