Try these

Im not sure about bikes

http://www.tyreinsurance.co.uk/ and http://www.car-finance.net/gap/aa_tyre_terms.pdf

I've just rang them, they've gone off to check and will let me know - on the terms and conditions they show a bike then no further reference, a bit pricy though but thats to cover 5 as we only have two it should be prorated!

Also, bikes for the most part are used far less than the average car.

They quoted me £99 same as a car. (must be less than 20" wheels)

I pointed out the there's only two tyres on a bike, so only half the risk if involved in malicious damage and bikes are used less. £99 / 5 = £20, times 2 = £40, but used half as much £20 :) Again they've gone away to think.

They've got to get it below £25 for me to seriously consider it. I would prefer to see it as an option on my full insurance.

Fixed price at £99, they won't come any lower.

Silly- you'd need 1 non-repairable puncture per year to make it make sense. As you say, I'd prefer it as an option on my main policy (ideally like windscreens on cars- not something that effects your NCB- otherwise it'd never be worth claiming). Ta for checking mogs.

hang on.

for 99 pounds per year, you never have to shell out for new tyres ?

all you have to do, is make sure you get a puncture when the tyres are near there wear limit.
