Crash bungs on lower fairings

Guys/Girlies,

Anyone got bungs fitted to a pointy with lower fairings? I need to get some fitted and was looking at Double Hard ones as they were cheap but not sure if they will fit over the fairings? Reason being is ive snapped off the original bracket which joins the frame to the fairing and cant find another to replace it so bungs look as tho this is a good alternative.

What do you reckon?

do you want to fit them in the same place as the suzuki ones?

Yeah mate as the bracket that holds the faring on snapped off so will need something else to keep the fairing out and hold the shrooms. I was just reading an old thread saying you had the Motrax ones on and these were the ones i was looking at as they are cheap and will do until i part ex the SV. You got the lower fairings on? Any modding required?

on the thou i got in jan the lowers were fitted with the OE fairing bracket (the banana shaped one)
i know the DHM fits in the same place but i dont think it will match with the fairing cuz its not bent it wont line up? if that makes any sence

i dont know if the bracket you've snapped is the same on the 650 as it is on the 1000 tho.

Yeah mate i get what mean and now a bit miffed as i was hopeing these would work. :( Do you know where i can get one of those bananas from as a matter of interest? I cant believe you have to but a full fairing kit just for the poxy "banana" bracket?!

best bet would be to try and make something that would just hold the fairing in place or have the original bracket welded, sorry i cant be of much more help.

No worries mate cheers for the info and yeah you might be right as the frame for the though i would assume would be bigger and therefore the fairings would be bigger/different too.......

Anyone out there confirm this?

R & G make bungs that you can fit instead of the banana bracket that fits through the original hole and requires no cutting. They support the fairing too.
