Well well well … what a night

socommk23 and I went minimotoing again … socommk23 took his mate Dave and we met my mate Paul there, so there were 4 of us -> 4-bikes!! 8)

For some reason the track was virtually deserted!! :shock: which worked out great for us as we could just have fun battling with each other!!! socommk23 has greatly improved since last time, he was taking much better lines, staying on the sticky bits and the results were clear for all to see 8) … His mate Dave had got a new (to him) bike and after a bit of wobbling and falling off, started to get to grips with it and really picked up the pace, he isn’t quite the same pace as socommk23 yet, but when he gets used to his bike I recon he’ll be up there. Main thing is his new bike works fine and it seems to have the ‘go’.

My mate Paul impressed me too, I normally only have to try 90% with him, I was trying full-on tonight and there was very little in it!! :shock: 8) We were virtually stuck together lap on lap, it was all about who made the mistakes, Wicked 8)

socommk23 isn’t far off, but not quite got that pace yet, that said, Paul and I had to really work to get by him, he is that quick its hard to find a fast line past and you can’t relax at all or he is away! 8) I seriously reckon when he puts his new rear sprocket on, and with a few more laps under his belt, the lad is going to be right there!! Most impressed bearing in mind that was only his second official go!! :)

socommk23’s GF went along and actually had a little go on the bikes, bearing in mind she had never ridden even a fullsize bike she took really well. To be fair she only got about 3 laps*, so didn’t have enough time to get dialled in … *we pulled her off as the LC bikes we run really only work flat out (the clutches are a fine art) … they are not the best thing to be learning on and if you run them too slow you burn the clutches out and/or they overheat.

Anyway, she seems keen and to enjoy her 3 laps, so I offered that next time if she fancied it, I’ll chuck my old cag in the van and she could use that. The cag is much better (and less intimidating) to learn on and bearing in mind it has an inbuilt fan, and the clutch bites really early, running it slow doesn’t do it any harm :)

Dave’s lass didn’t seem as keen to step up to the mark (might be because we were wincing about the clutch!! :D), but she did say she’d have a go at some point, so hopefully she’ll have a go on the cag next time :)

Anyway, overall a stunning night, most impressed with both Pauls and socommk23’s performances, it was fun when all 3 of us were wheel to wheel and we all ‘mugged’ some poor kid all at the same point!! 8) :D

was so much better than last time just wish i could keep the pace when you guys get by and still tangle with ya....

guess that will come with more time...experience...and maybe the new sproket will help a little.

the misses looked good out there for her first time on powered 2 wheels. took even better to it when on blues bike so shopuld pick it up well on the cag. then it will be 5 of us out there......NEYOWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN :)

the front break conv works better than i thought...ample for the use so far.... :?

then that poor kid! just as he thought all was well...about to enter the turn....
then three inconciderate fast moveing guys on big bike tear past at stupid speed.....
think he left a darkie of his own......in his pants! lol

now dave is an invilid. poor thing...got him home..there he was with the cool rub and frozen potatoes! lol....no peas! hehe

getting the backend out on the corner after the last fast straight was awesome...so i done it more.....NEYOWNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

YEAH BOY....BACKING IT IN......!!!! 8)

You are already ‘in the mix’ you don’t need to get any faster to give us a run for our money, you needed to make a mistake/off line for us to get past last night … but yeah, you are going to need to find that second or so a lap if you want to come back after we eventually get past ;) … Paul can tail me now, but not get past, whereas I can just about pass him still or at least really hassle him, but it is very difficult to make an actual pass its that tight. I normally had to wait for a mistake last night … All I know is you boys are getting so quick I am going to have to start making up excuses soon … luckily for me my bike/s falls apart so often, an excuse is never far round the corner (if you pardon the pun)!! :D

As for your young lady and the cag, it’d be good to get her (and Daves lass) involved if they are keen. Happy for her to borrow it, as for her concerns about breaking it, believe me I have crashed that thing in a big way so many times I can tell you it is indestructible as is the motor/clutch … its strength is in is simplicity ;)

Dave does hold the ‘crash of the evening’ title for sure!! :D I think he might be at the ‘slower to get faster’ stage you were at last time ;)

There wasn’t enough ppl there for direct comparison last night, but from past experience, to be honest I reckon you would ‘Own’ all but the proper racers with all the kit already! ;)

Oh and as a tip, if you want a cheap pedicure, then wear some holey shoes!! :D My poor toes!! :( :lol:


Time to get down Tescos and get another pair of cheap minimoto trainers me thinx ;)

i did notice your trainers pretty much gone! lol!

they were gone before the evening start to be honest ... I did mean to get some new ones, but never got round to it!! :D
