Wet weather

I have an SV560S 02 which in wet weather has problems. The bike splutters and cuts out whenever the weather is wet. I have taken it to a non Suzuki garage who say that they couldn't find a problem. Can anyone please help in resolving the problem

I await your replies

Front cylinder spark plug's getting wet.

Search is your friend

This forum should change its name to 'SV650 cut out in the wet due to dodgy design of the front cylinder where the spark plug is but that's OK because Northwind has a fix.org

It would save so much bother

I'd chop it in for a newer model mate. It looks battered as it is and you can't polish a rust bucket!
Good luck.

Elio, just kidding mate. You can get a stick on fenda extenda for 30 squids from Geomoto in Finchley 02083469200. It helps the problem but I don't know if it solves it. You might need to put some silicon gel around the spark plug too. 8)

30 squids? Bloody hell. It cost me all of 2 octupi, and I got a cod in change! This was from a stealership too!

(In old money, that's £17... and it's still not fitted )

Ignore the bit about not getting an SV, I was very bitter that day...

Front Mudgaurd Extension. I have one on my bike, and I rode it in nasty rain on the motorway in the spray of trucks. No probs with mine! Its a 99 model, btw.
