180 rear wheel on a sv650

I have a K6 sv650 and would like to fit a sv1000 rear wheel on it. This is only for looks. Does the sv1000 rear wheel fit directly onto my machine or is there any mods required?

PM BillyC or Northwind - iirc it will 'fit' however you need different spacers me thinks.

Someone will be along very shortly to tell you it is not a good idea

Not a bad idea either, neccesarily, depends on how you ride and on your bike. I reckon a Bandit 1200 rear wheel will be the way to do it, btu I don't know exactly how you'd go about it with a pointy. If anyone can lend me one for a couple of hours I'll find out :)

It's a good idea and it doesn't affect the handling

I`m interested, however :-

1. cost?
2. handling?
3. rear hugger fit?
4. mileage?

i`m in an inquizative mood!!
