Preparation for MOT.....advice?

I'm running twin exhausts and a tiny number plate which I think I can sort out before booking an MOT.

The other thing is, I have a puncture in the chicken strip of my tyre. The local garage plugged it up for me, but it might still show its' trace. Otherwise the tyre tread is fantastic - I'd only run these Bridgestones BT020s for 1 year.

Is this acceptable for MOT, or will I have to get a new set of tyres?

Haven't done an MOT in several years ;)

Only worry about the cans if they're marked not for road use. If unmarked most testers will let them go.
My tester doesn't worry about plate size but it must be present.

Yep, depends a lot on the testers. Mine asked me to take the baffle out so he could hear it :) But he'd not pass you with a small plate, I think, because it's so visible and there's no element of discretion in it.

If they're Renegades, to be honest I wouldn't pass you :smt043 Not that I'm a tester, but they're damn loud. I think your tyres should be OK, puncture repairs aren't an MOT fail in their own right I believe.

Grreat. This is my lucky week.

They're Renegades okay...

Ok - at least that's the tyre out of the worry box. The licence plate I'm sure I can find the mint condition original which has never been out ;)

just make sure you check that all your lights are working properly. Last time i went for an mot both of the guys in front of me failed because their lights wernt all working

if you can put on the original number plate as its one less thing to worry about and as for the exhausts i wouldnt worry as long as they dont have a "not for road use" or "race use only" bit on them.

Thanks...I'm more worried about immobilising the motorcycle in middle of the test and not being able to figure out how to deactivate it.
