Fork *CLACK* noise
When I drive over any road imperfections at speed, my forks compress and make a *clack* sound. I'm going to change the oil next weekend, but any idea untill then?

Re: Fork *CLACK* noise
Every SV I've ever ridden has done that. Theres various theories as to what the cause was. I just use earplugs and then I cant hear it anyway :D

Re: Fork *CLACK* noise
Seems like a design flaw like that would be easily detected and corrected in the testing phase of development.....whatever.
PS. My bike has 20k miles and never had the fork oil changed, should I get on that? |
Re: Fork *CLACK* noise
My brother changed his front springs to Ohlins items and from then on the CLANK has vanished. Mine still does it whenever I ride over a pothole or speedbump. I found the Ohlins too hard for the roads I ride so kept with the stock for the time being. Hoping someone manufactures fork damper internal replacements to cartridge that doesn't break the bank. Then I'll change them.
