Gel Seats
My erse goes numb after about an hour or so on the bike  So I'm looking for a gel seat to replace the standard one.
The cheapest I can find is for £100 and amazingly its from Suzuki:eek: Does anyone know where I can get one for a K3? and preferably a little cheaper:smt023 |
Re: Gel Seats
you can get them from an american Suzuki dealer for abou $140 which is only about £50-60 at the moment, dont know about P&p though

Re: Gel Seats
I thought about getting a gel seat when I first go the bike, then I saw the price!
So instead, I opted for the cheaper option. I ride 45mins to an hour (and sometimes more) during my commute, so I do that twice a day on most days. It gets to the point where your ar$e just gets used to it, and gets harder  Not that long ago, I did around 1000 miles in just over 48 hours. Part of that was a good 7 hours riding, only broken by 5-10min stops every 2 hours. I was tired when I got back, very tired, but after a good sleep, nowt wrong :D I'd happily do it again. |
Re: Gel Seats
they pop up on ebay now & then

Re: Gel Seats
:riding: Take up smoking. A break and a fag every forty five mins is does the trick.
Works out dearer in the end though :reaper: |
Re: Gel Seats
Have a look for a Corbin seat? Probably expensive.

Re: Gel Seats
I bought a new in the box OEM gel seat off eBay, think I payed $119.00 plus $15 shipping here in the US.
To be honest, for my flat hind end, the seat is not as comfortable as the stocker (to me-everyone is built a lttle differently, the stock seat is more along my lines as I tend to sit on the upper part of my thighs when riding). I have no idea what it would cost to ship a seat to the UK from the US, but if you are interested, I would part with the one I bought as I am going back to stock. The seat has about 600 miles of riding and is as I bought it, no scratches, tears, or any other damage. Check the exchange rate and see if this would work for you, I would sell for the price I paid ($119 US) and you pay the shipping cost. I don't know how it works in the UK but private person to person packages in the US are not subject to customs fees. Best look into that, though. Problem with quick shipping, though. I am working in Yakima, Washington, and the bike is home in Riverton, WY. My wife is supposed to bring it out in March, I could ship it out then. If interested you can pm me or post in this topic and I will pm you. |
