Spiders
I staggered out of bed this morning and wandered into the bathroom and there, floating in the bog was a little spider all curled up and I thought 'awww, poor thing, ee's deeeeeeeed.'
I wasn't going to do it any form of dishonour in it's death, so I got a strip of bog-roll, looped it with the intention of hoisting the poor little guy out. After a bit of positioning and repositioning the little spider suddenly started moving and ran up the bog roll all on it's own! :D So, it ran up onto my hand where I caught it to put it outside. Little guy was charging around in my cupped hands in seemingly a bit of a panic. I looked up at the shut window. Bugger. Looked back at the shut door. Bugger. So, I put him in the bath while I opened the window. I then had to catch him again and he was having none of it until I started talking to him in a soothing voice. *cough* At this point he calmly climbed up onto my hand, waited and when i got him to the outside window ledge he calmly stepped off and went on his way. Now... Did I actually get through to his little spider brain or was he just knackered from his ordeal? |

I don't know why, but the night before, I sat down with the dog, and explained to him exactly what was going to happen in the morning, and why. During that conversation I got a sort of eery feeling, but put it down to me being overly emotional about the whole situation. So the time came, we took him to the vets. I swear that's the only time (before & since) that I've been in any vets, and every animal went silent. We were sat there a good 30mins waiting, and not a sound from any animal at all (in a pretty busy waiting room). That struck me as something more than sheer coincidence. Maybe yours was too. Maybe not (in both cases). However, mushy theory stuff out of the way... Quote:

Re: Spiders
Maybe you have special Dr Doolittle like powers.
I used to have a Fantic trials bike that would only start if you asked it to (nicely in Italian). |
