don't you feel an idiot when...

you realise you've left your bike on the drive unchained with the keys in the ignition for 15 minutes...:smt103

At least you found it still there.

Then any thoughts of feeling an idiot would've been overwelmed by much more negative feelings. FACT (sorry, wrong thread).

I've left mine outside an office in the middle of london for most of the day with the keys in the ignition before.

To make you feel better (and I've posted this on the forum before)...

I've done that too...

Only in my case, the lid & gloves were on top of the bike too...

And it stayed like that overnight :| (I found it in the morning, and thanked my lucky stars!)

Quite scary when you walk around Brands etc and see all the keys that have been left in the ignition.....

Usually tell a parking attendant to do announcement about it. Luckily most bikes are chained up,............... although I guess sometimes the chain key could be on the same keyring as the bike key..........

I've spent most of a morning looking for my bike keys, retraced my steps from the last night and found them dangling from the underseat lock where I went in to get the Tool kit out from under the seat

I've also done the classic key in the front door trick...

Yep done that, my alarm fob was with them.

I only wondered where they went after looking to deactivate my bike alarm at the local petrol station. Had to run a mile back in full leathers to see them dangling from the door.
