Throttle cable assembly
 

Are cables supposed to have the housing bend before they connect to the carbs? I'm trying to figure out why my engine response is sticky.

Ok. I did some image searching, and it does appear that the cables are meant to be bent...althought I'm not entirely sure why. The search for answers continue.

Have you,
a. cleaned the top slid (round bit on grip) and re-greased.
b. cleaned the cables (both of them, to check try taking the return off)
c. check the spring tention at the carbs.
d. checked the cable lining hasn't come away (on older cables or those that have suffered this can happen and bind).
e. checked the butterflies aren't sticking.
