Work has banned msn :o(
 

Miserable sods at work have banned the use of msn, because they say its distracting people from doing their (noway ;) )

Well what I want to know is there an alternative, chat rooms? any recommendations ? Don't want to down load any software onto my works computer, as the IT guys will suss it out, so what am i to do :(

I can understand why. However, we use MSN Messanger across our global network as a quick communication tool. Useful when people can be in meetings to get a quick answer without disturbing the meeting. You don't need to know where in the world people are that day. Simply they are on line.

Its stopped working here too.
Hard to say if it was intentional or not.

Whatever they've done its also stopped mails (alert details, disaster recovery info etc) from some of our servers from reaching us too !

Were lucky where we work as its unrestricted, most peeps have skype and msn. The only thing you cant do is SMTP out. But being a media company we cant have restrictions on web content, msn is used to get quick info around the world and skype used to call our internat offices for free.
