Motorcycle water radiator repair
On my way to Diane's today a stone punched through it and dumped the coolant all over me and the bike. Anybody know of somewhere near Manchester that can repair it? (SV1000SK3)

Re: Motorcycle water radiator repair
Suzuki dealer quoted me £405 inc VAT for a new one so I've dropped it off at a local repair shop to see if they can close the ends off on the damaged tube.

Re: Motorcycle water radiator repair
Make sure they use a high temperature braze. Mate had a repair done on his Raptor and all was well, until stuck in traffic waiting to get in to Donnington MotoGP on a hot day, it let go.

Re: Motorcycle water radiator repair
A radiator is a radiator. A normal radiator repair shop should be able to fix it for much less than the cost of a new one. HTH

Re: Motorcycle water radiator repair
I did see that Alan but it's so bent I doubt the holes for my lowers would line up and fit. I got mine repaired for £30, just fitted it and it's under test. Looking good.

Re: Motorcycle water radiator repair
Damn it :( The repair has failed twice so far. Ok for a couple of days but the the expansion/contraction from thermal cycling seems to make it crack and it starts to weep. Back in the shop for the 3rd time now. I can have the radiator off in 20 mins now including the lower fairings, lol.

Re: Motorcycle water radiator repair
It's looking good this time around so I've given myself the day off tomorrow to test it properly. I hear it might be a nice day for a bike ride ;)
