Macrovision removal for Videos
Does anyone know what bit of kit I need to bypass Macrovision on videos?
I've bought a DVD recorder and I want to transfer all the original Videos I have onto DVD format, but my DVD Recorder won't let me (because of the macrovision protection...) Anybody? |
Re: Macrovision removal for Videos
I got one just before christmas, just done a search on google, scart lead with it built it about £40 if I remember right.

Re: Macrovision removal for Videos
Why bother - the quality of VHS is very poor when compared to DCD
Join one of those online DVD rental libraries, eg Lovefilm, and wait for them to come through your door . . . |
Re: Macrovision removal for Videos
as above, vhs on to dvd looks poo! you really want dvd quality.

Re: Macrovision removal for Videos
Quality isn't good, and you can't get a whole filum on one recordable DVD (well I can't without dropping the quiality way down!) VHS replacement original DVDs are cheapish on eBay as they tend to be a couple of years out of date.

Point taken about quality though... VHS is absolutely poo compaired to DVD! You can't sell old Video's for pennies these days  |
