Quietest helmet???
I'm currently using and AGV Airtech, I've always had AGV (well since the first did a splendid job in not allowing me brains out), but I'm now doing a lot more motorway riding and finding that it is some what noisy.
I know I can't stop the wind rush sound completely but there must be some report of what’s the "quietest", somewhere???? Cheers to all.... |
Re: Quietest helmet???
The Schuberth S1 is said to be pretty good. Never actually used one, but have tried it on and it really does grip under your chin, whare all the wind noise gets in...
It's on my list of "Things to get in '07". . |
Re: Quietest helmet???
Can't really help on actual models, but IMHO stay away from the more race focused helmets, they have a lot of vents etc etc and because of this you do tend to get more wind noise etc etc.
Failing that time for ear plugs if you are not already wearing them. There was a test in ride magazine I think a while ago that covered all this. I'll see if I can dig it out. |

Re: Quietest helmet???
Tried earplugs? Even a cheapo helmet worn with plugs will be better than the best helmet without them. If you want things quiet, plugs are the only way to go.
A helmet only cuts out noise if other things - rider height, position, screen height, crosswinds, etc. are all ideal. |
Re: Quietest helmet???
Simpsons are not quiet, they are very 'vented'
Roof Ro10 i think it is, is quiet. Shoeis tent to be quiet due to thier visor design |
Re: Quietest helmet???
