Engine protectors? R and G say they only do them for an R6 and a Z1000. Do you mean the main mushrooms?

Re: R & G engine protectors (Brackets req'd)
i had the r&g's on a k4 650's. they are a serious bit of kit, id recommmend them without hesitation the suxuki oem ones are flimsy to say the least, the r&g one has a very substantial billet ali block that bolts to the frame then the protector fits through the fairing straight into the block, one of the major flaws of the suzuki ones is that to get the slider mounted they produced some stupid bent bracket, you only have to look at it and itll bend, mine snapped when the bike fell off the stand, luckily it saved the fairing, but it was dead at zero mph.
get the r&g's expensive but really good |

The bracket's brilliant, but I reckon the bung itself's too bendy... But if it does replace the fairing brackets (I think that's the question here?) then that'd make a lot more sense.

When i crashed my faired k5 the bung bolt nut snapped the bracket only got a few grazes......saved the frame getting any marks as bike slid along floor

Yeah, I know, I had a set myself... But we're all guilty of it, assuming that bungs have helped tons when really we have no idea what would have happened without them :) My first ever crash, I had those £6.99 ebay bungs fitted, the rubbish ones. They never even touched the ground, and the bike was almost unscathed- cracked front fairing and a bent rear master cylinder pushrod, nothing really considering. But I bet you a pound if I'd had my motosliders fitted I'd have said how they saved loads of damage :)
