How to clean windows?
Times gone by a chap used to come round with a wooden ladder, bucket of mucky water and a leather. After giving him a fiver and a bit of banter he'd spend 30 mins and the windows would sparkle for the next few weeks.
Now window cleaning seems to have gone hi-tech, requiring a ghostbusters van, two guys and miles of pipework. The cost runs at an hourly rate similar to a high court barrister, the results are disgraceful. I'm up for a bit of exercice, does anyone have the secret on how to clean windows like an old time professional? |

Re: How to clean windows?
Squirt on "Windolene" and then dry off with old newspaper.
This is not a joke - this is the way to do it. |

once the windows have been washed, you need to get rid of all the soapy water on the glass, with one of those rubber thingys, this is where the skill & years of practise come in........... as you must do it in such a way as not to leave any streaks i have mastered this skill over many years cleaning the windows in the butchers i used to work in:takeabow: |
