Just wondered how many fashion junkies we have out there.

I like to think of myself as an icon of elegance, but I'm in a minority of one I fear.:D

I spend a fair amount of money on gear, but that's far from the looks issue.

If it's safe, and it looks reasonable with the rest of my gear & the bike (eg, I bought a blue/black dainese jacket because I have a blue SV - the colours aint exact, but blue is blue) then I'll buy it.

I'd agree with everything Dave's just said. Yes, he is a tart!

Re: Biking Fashion Junkies

I suppose I am by consequence if not design, don't really go in for the brand name thing or the colour coordinated stuff, however 30 years of trial and error has taught me the stuff that works, so most of it is branded as although the cheaper stuff is pretty good, in the longer term quality saves money (as well as your neck ;) ),
as far as Leathers go, well
a black & yellow set 2pc,
a red/black & white set 2pc,
a black and orange set 1pc
the obligatory black Jacket and jeans.

6 textile jackets and 3 pairs of textile trousers.
Then a couple of one piece oversuits and some singles (Jacket x 3 & trousers x 2)

Helmets,
2 x shoei
3 x Arai
(but I need another to replace the accident damaged one)

More pairs of gloves than I care to count (last time I looked 12 pairs).
Three pairs of boots (race/road/waterproof)

Given all that choice I can do the coordinated power ranger bit or indeed the London dispatch rider look, but to be honest tend to wear what’s out or best for the ride I’m going on (although haven’t done that for a while).

I guess I should really have a clear out but it’s all still got serviceable life left in it, perhaps a buying freeze is in order

Cheers Mark.

Oh and a pair of those kevlar jean things, that I've never worn ( must try those at some point, got to put some armour in the pockets).

Cheers Mark.

I buy alpinestars gear, because I know it protects me. But if there was something just as good or better, for the same or cheaper price, I'd have that too.
