How about this for a commuter !

Moved to a new site with work this week.
This has been in the carpark everyday so far.
The puddle underneath it (as you'd probably guess) is oil !

Does anyone know what it is ? I know its a BSA and I'm guessing late 40's. (don't know how to decipher old number plates)

Judging by the engine I'd say it was one of the "M" series these came out in 1937 and were produced with minor changes up to the start of the 60's.

It's either an M20 (500cc/13BHP) M34(500cc/15BHP) or M21(600cc/15BHP) M33(600/25BHP) .
(Only other option would be the B31/34 from 1946> 350cc model)

also seeing as the primary drive cover is flat and not nicely shaped I'd take it as post war, probably late 40's, but the case could have been replaced at some time?

the front brake hub isn't original either as that is bigger than would have come with the bike, another guess would be off an A7 or A10 (50>60's vintage)

Cheers Mark.
