gen 2 fender on a gen1 bike?

deos anyone know the logistics of putting that together. I had a run in with a ford taurus and im trying to put my bike back together now. the problem is intact pre 2003 fenders are hard to come by. how hard would it be to use a k5 are any other type of bike fender?

ask them? ive brought stuff from the states its not a problem if he cant get one over the pond then he might not worry about the postage costs.
