Bike Cover

Hi
Have a 2001 Curvy, does anyone know the exact dimensions of the bike as i need a new cover for the bike and was looking at an Oxford Aquatex on ebay but am unsure whether to go for Medium or Large.
Feedback much appreciated.
Cheers
H

Hello H

I have a medium Oxford Aquatex which fits my K5 perfectly but only once the mirrors are folded.

Go for the medium.

Sent you a PM, my medium one (will be the same for the aquatouch) touches the floor but you can tuck it up and you dont have to fold in the mirrors.

Re: Bike Cover

Looking at the forum there have been some complaints about the oxford covers although mine has been perfect so far, in rain, sleet, snow, wind... the lot.

My cover doesn't touch the ground at all as the bottom bunches up around the front and rear wheel.

You don't have to fold the mirrors, I just choose to as it seems to make the cover fit better.

Hope this helps!.

(BTW - I'm talking about a pointy as opposed to a curvy).

Re: Bike Cover

I had one that was custom made for the bike. Aside from fading in the sun it did a good job. For the life of me I can't find their website as this was back in 2005.

Anyhow I got a bike barn in the end which is miles better. The cover is now used on a project DT100. It is now white instead of blue but hasn't leaked like my Oxford one did after two weeks!

Edit: the best thing about the custom one was that I never had problems with the mirrors where as I had to keep adjusting them after the Oxford.

I bought a medium sports bike cover from Infinity. It is water proof etc, and sort of made of cheap gortex.

Very very light weight and supplied in a carry bag. £20 bargin. Fits my SV fine and I don't have to adjust the mirrors. (I have Chewy's extenders on as well!)

The cheap oxford ones are pants...but the more expensive ones are class!

I have a medium Oxford Stormex and i recommend it to anyone, completely waterproof even in hardcore rain...heat resistant so no probs with the hot exahust etc, has a strap to fasten it so it stays on in strong winds, and soft inside to protect the paintwork.

All you could want and more :)

I saw an SV with a stormex on and wanted one right away, so I'm going to J&S and getting one next week.

They look better than my argos one..
