What country is E13
I believe that my bike is an import, but I don't know from where it originated. It has E13 on the headlamp, but I cant find a country listing for this.
Thanks Duke |
Re: What country is E13
I believe it's Plaistow and a bit of West Ham.;)

Re: What country is E13
Thanks Biggles, but I was thinking the it might reference some place further afield. The bike originally came from D&K, they tend to source from wide and far. It may be a Japanese import, but I can't find a full listing of the country codes.

Re: What country is E13
:-? That list doesn't tie into the county codes on my SV microfiche tho.
UK is E-02, but on wiki it's 11. There is no E13 listed on the fiche so i can't help you any further Duke, soz. What model Sv have you got? My fiche is curvy models only, si maybe someone with a newer version could shed some light. |
Re: What country is E13
The Bike is a SV650SX, 1999 model. May be one of the first into the UK?
I have reviewed the data on the General information for a 1999 and it is not listed (linked from the FAQ seaction under SV service manuals) |
Re: What country is E13
I'm not certain this will tell you. My headlights are E3 (German bike, UK dip, apparently Italian headlamps. Surprisingly untemperamental!), For example the glass on my spanish car is E6. None of these match up with origin.

Re: What country is E13
I think I may be on a lost cause here. After Dr.Rich's comments I have rechecked and my dip light has E13, the Full has no marking but the top little riding light has E4 embossed on it. So E4 could be France (from this Forum) or Netherlands (from the link to wiki).
Is there any other way of knowing where the bike originates? Duke |
Re: What country is E13
If memory serves the frame number may be of some use in this, though I'm no where near a Haynes manual for the digit breakdown, and could be wrong.

Re: What country is E13
The E13 is also the European Union designation for the M1.
